Wall Tiles are generally provided in buildings to enhance its statics to cover un-cycling surfaces  to increase durability and reduce maintenance of a structure and to protect the wall against slashing of water in  bathroom.

The Plastered Surface shall be truly vertical and leveled. Any Dust and loose particles  shall be removed and the surface should be cleaned. A Thin coat of cement slurry shall then be applied on this surface. A creamy paste using one part of cement with one or two parts of sand is prepared by mixing with water. This paste is to be applied uniformly to the back of the tiles.

The Tiles should then be pressed gently on the  plastered surface and slightly tapped to fix it into the position. The Horizontal and the vertically lines of the tiles to be matched. After 24 Hours the joints are to be cleaned and refilled with paste containing mixture of white cement and coloring pigment to match the tiles  colour. The refilling shall be done by pressing the paste into the joints using any suitable tool. The Excess paste  if any is to remove and tiles to be cleaned.

Generally, Ceramic tiles are fixed to the walls of Bathroom and kitchen to prevent dampness and make maintenance easy.

To Ensure firm bond between the tile and backing, leave the surface of the plaster rough.

Use suitable adhesive material either paste made of cement mortar or polymer based tile adhesive.
